Shoulder arthritis starts from the wear and tear of the cartilage. The cartilage is present in every joint of our body and covers the surfaces. Shoulder arthritis damages the cartilage inside the shoulder joint of our body.

The shoulder arthritis contains bigger ball and the socket joint which is named as glenohumeral joint of the bone. The cartilage covers both the ball of the shoulder joint. When the cartilage in the shoulder starts to break down or get damage from the inner joints of the shoulder the shoulder will pain and thereby the pain increases gradually. This is called as shoulder arthritis. Cartilage is the living tissue with 3mm thickness which makes the connections between the bones.

If the cartilage is intact then it takes many rotations with no wear and tear on the surface of the body as it performs smoothly without any injury and damage.

To provide the treatment with effective our physician determines the joint which is affected and report which type of shoulder arthritis our patient is suffering from. There are five types of arthritis that affect the shoulder and the cartilage of the joint.

We treat our patient to get relief from the shoulder pain such as changing the way of moving the arm to do things and to take rest after doing work, exercise using physical therapy to improve the range of motion in your shoulder and by moist the heat in the shoulder the pain get reduce for some time. If the pain remains yet even doing the physical treatment we recommend about the advantage of surgery to have a pain free shoulder to work faster.

Osteoarthritis – “wear and tear” arthritis which destroys the outer covering of the bone and become frayed, rough and damages the bone strength and the process of working which causes pain.

Rheumatoid arthritis – a chronic disease that attacks the joints of the body d causes pain and stiffness in the joint. Rheumatoid arthritis attacks the own tissues of the muscle and damages the normal tissue and the softened bone.

Posttraumatic arthritis – is a kind of osteoarthritis which develop the injury and the fracture of the shoulder or the dislocation of the shoulder.

Rotator Cuff Tear Arthritis – Damages the surfaces of the bone and lead to severe pain and weaken the strength of the bone.

Avascular Necrosis – A painful condition that occurs when the blood supply to the shoulder joint and to the arthritis. This damage the cartilage covering of the bone.
